Transfers of players in Poland

Last season, Polish Ekstraklasa clubs had the highest revenues ever from the sale of players.

The total transfer income of Polish clubs amounted to PLN 207,000,000. The vast majority of transfer revenues are foreign transfers – the sale of players from the Polish league to other leagues.

The average age of players leaving the Ekstraklasa for other clubs in the 2023/2024 season was 23 years and 11 months.

Foreign clubs are showing great interest in young players trained in Polish academies, and the increasing transfer values of these players prove the increasing value for money of investing in youth training.

The Polish league is also a good league for the development of foreign players before they move to the top 5 clubs in Europe.

The highest revenues from player sales were recorded by Legia Warszawa and Lech Poznan.
